LEADERS’ TIPS – LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCE

There are more than 33,000 non-profit sport and recreation organizations in Canada. Each of these is governed by a volunteer-run board of directors. While women assist non-profit sport and recreation organizations in many informal capacities, formal positions are still dominated by men. Key decisions, policies, strategies and directions for sport and recreation are made at the board table. To influence change, it is imperative that women be involved in these discussions as members of boards of directors.  More.
